The old ones call it wander lust; that urge that takes hold of us if we live to see twenty five. It is the urge to leave wherever we are and return to the land where we were hatched. It is a drive that leads to procreation. We make the long perilous journey, fasting until we return, facing unknown danger and knowing that the chances of even one of our hatchlings surviving is slim. We do it because we know a chance is all we need.
